Lighting studies
- Study #1, a building interior
- Study #2, an office interior
- Study #3, an office interior by inverse
lighting design
- A paper about Lighting Design, 8th EPCG, Coimbra,
Portugal 1998 (in portuguese)
- Revista VIRtual (in portuguese)
- Optimisation and Lightign Design, a paper
presented in WSCG'99 (Plzen, Check Republic)
- Study #4, NRC office lighting design
(model available at the
Radiance site)
- Radiance models translated to DXF files
to be available in the
Radiance site
- Lighting Design: a Goal Based Approach using
Optimisation, a paper presented in the 10th EG Workshop on Rendering-1999
(Granada, Spain)
- Graph showing the performance of my parallel
version of the Radiance rtrace program, developed with
PVM software.
In a Beowulf cluster with 22 PC's,
it generates an image in less than 5% of the time of 1 PC (with the standard
rtrace version).
The timings were obtained using ambient files and high quality options in
the ray tracing.
Using the parallel version and the cluster, my lighting design system
becomes more than 6 times faster...
