Ask what you want with GraphQL
O Departamento de Engenharia Informática (DEI) do Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), numa iniciativa conjunta com o Mestrado em Engenharia Informática (MEI), convida à participação em mais uma Palestra, desta vez sobre o tema "Ask what you want with GraphQL", que terá lugar no dia 8 de Novembro, às 18h10.

Abstract
Are you currently a backend developer providing more and more endpoints to provide customers with the data they need, or are you a frontend developer tired of calling multiple endpoints to get just a few fields?
GraphQL can help you solve some of these problems and even more. In this session, we will discuss what GraphQL is and is not, how you can apply it to solve under and over-fetching, and tools to help your implementation. Finally, we will analyze a use case where we can use GraphQL as an API gateway.

Mafalda Landeiro enjoys software development and has been a Backend Developer at Blip. She did all her college education in ISEP. In addition, she tries to be active in society with some technological contributions in freelance work, tech blogs and teaching programming. In 2020, she wrote a book chapter on GraphQL related to her master's thesis. She loves technical discussions, learning, and challenges.
