Biometrid: Bringing trust in identity for a safer digital world
The Department of Computer Engineering (DEI) of the “Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto” (ISEP), in a joint initiative with the Post-graduation in Big Data & Decision Making (PG-BD&DM), invites to participate in another lecture, this time on the theme "Biometrid: Bringing trust in identity for a safer digital world", which will take place on June 6th, at 7PM.

Miguel Côrte-Real is the COO of BIOMETRID. With a background in business management, he began his professional career as a student by launching a start-up at UPTEC, Porto. After this experience, he moved to Lisbon, where he collaborated with the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the technology consulting firm CLOSER, specializing in Data Science. He returned to Porto to become a Partner at FYI DIGITAL and later founded Hey Digital Ventures. He also served as the director of the Agency for the Development of Creative Industries (ADDICT) and founded the newspaper NOVO SEMANÁRIO.
Luis Viudez is the Strategy & Operations Manager for Biometrid. With a background in Industrial Engineering and Management and experience in areas such as Education, Consultancy and Supply Chain. He had the chance to work in different countries like Spain, Germany and Turkey. At Biometrid his main areas of responsibility include European Union projects, management of technological providers and alignment of Biometrid's global strategy.
