QTDEI: "Critical Computing Series: Research and Systems @ Sword Health"

The Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) of the Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP), in collaboration with the Master in Critical Computing Systems Engineering (MESCC), invites to participate in another seminar “Critical Computing Series: Research and Systems @ Sword Health", that will take place on 26th November, at 18:30 PM, room B407.

Abstract

Starting with physical pain, then pelvic health, and now a complete platform of solutions, Sword is available through more than 3,000 employers, health plans, and public sector organizations, saving those clients an average of $3 in healthcare costs for every $1 invested in Sword. Headquartered in Porto, Sword operates with a dynamic, multifaceted organizational structure where diverse teams collaborate to develop groundbreaking products. Among these, the Research and Systems team plays a pivotal role, driving next- generation technologies and pushing the boundaries of digital health innovation. In this presentation, two team members, Pedro Rodrigues and Rita Sousa, will provide insights into Sword, discuss their team’s challenges, and delve into their technology stack. The session will conclude with a demo of Thrive, Sword''s first high-impact product.
